Wild Creative Nature Village is for parents seeking a deeper connection to their children, the natural environment and their own creativity.
We love to create safe, playful space for parents and adventurous cubs aged 0-10yrs encouraging a multi age learning experience.
TERM 2 FOCUS: MINDFUL MOVEMENT
Earth Crafts on offer and what you can tick off the curriculum:
Using nature and our bodies natural systems to create art.
Learning about our bodies natural rhythms and how they correlate to nature.
We will examine our heart rate and blood pressure with my dad Bill (Wild Creative Mentor and cardiac technician who attended in term 1)
(social and emotional literacy, mentorship with community elders, creativity, science, human biology, nature connection, eco and art therapy)
WHITTLING A TALISMAN with knives and peelers
Whittling is an ancient art form.
We create a talisman and discuss the importance of beliefs and rituals.
(Focus, strength, risk assessment, working with natural materials, sustainable practices, rituals, self care practices)
EXPLORING ABORIGINAL ART PRACTICES
We learn different Aboriginal art practices and why they painted in dot form and used symbols.
(history, indigenous culture, art, creative expression)
For pure joy we make mud creatures/forest faces!
(creativity, invention, physics, working with natural resources, environmental stewardship)
CLAY AND BOTANICALS
Clay is one of the oldest art forms dating back thousands of years.
We delve deeper into this malleable, natural resource.
(Working with natural materials, sustainable practices, creativity)
A mindfulness practice disguised as a chosen sit spot and art that FEELS like that space to you. Process art at its best!
(Nature connection, unifying the spirit, ritual and mindfulness practices)
MAKING STONE PAINT
Foraging for stones, discovering which yield the best pigment, the perserverance of grinding and using force and strength to make paint.

I repeat some practices from term 1 so we can build on that initial experience and delve more deeply into the artform.

BABIES 1 AND UNDER ATTENDING WITH SIBLINGS ARE FREE.

Wild Creative runs out of a beautiful urban bush space in Leederville
(specific address sent upon booking)
Parent/caregiver remains for duration of workshop.
Children's safety and behaviour remains responsibility of the parent/caregiver.
Children aged between 0-10yrs are welcome to augment our multi age learning experience.
