We help children build foundational life skills safeguarding their mental and emotional health through:

We run nature based wellbeing experiences for 5-17yo students and staff offering tailored excursions/incursions for schools, camps or holiday programs.

These are offered on site at school or in our dedicated nature space in Leederville.

OUR AIM:
Wild Creative Workshops offer students a safe space to develop a conscious awareness and understanding of what benefits their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.
They will enrich their emotional intelligence, improve interpersonal skills and increase their capacity for self regulation.
Being amongst nature enriches their learning experience and the depth of retention.

A SAMPLE OF MINDFULNESS/CLASSROOM CIRCUIT BREAKERS ACTIVITIES:
Mindfulness for primary kids is expressed within playful movement and observation.
For older kids/teens/adults it is more focused around stillness and contemplation.
Our activities reflect this understanding.

FOUND OBJECT ART
Every space has everyday objects which can be transformed into art in which we can view the space and ourselves completely differently.

STORMY PENCILS
The humble pencil is capable of incredible expression. Transform this everyday tool into a sound storm and create a stormy artwork!

NATURE MUSIC
Sounds can be made on multiple surfaces, indoor or outdoor. This exercise offers a playful, movement based exploration of sounds which helps dispel pent up energy and redirect focus.

SENSORY JOURNALLING
Mindfulness through the senses and careful observation.

BODY PERCUSSION
No instruments required! Just use your bodies to create different rhythms and shift stagnant energy or stress.

MINDFUL MANDALAS (Land art)
Through creating a mandala (circle representing the universe/world) your inner rhythms fall into sync with one another and you can calm down.

STICK BALANCING
Can you move without dropping a stick when balancing it on your finger? What about remaining connected to a friend who is balancing the stick on the other end?!
A playful , movement based mindfulness practise.

GRAVITY GLUE + STONE STACKING
To have a great stack, you need a stable foundation. A playful mindfulness exploration of science and nature that requires persistence and patience.

EXCURSIONS IN NATURE
Research shows nature helps our bodies rebalance and shift back into a more relaxed and harmonious state.
